Expedition Foundry Core

Expedition Foundry Core is the custom integration and gameplay framework created for the Expedition Foundry modpack.

Its purpose is to provide features that cannot be implemented cleanly through datapacks, configuration files, or standard mod compatibility alone.

The mod acts as a central home for Expedition Foundry-specific gameplay systems, quality-of-life improvements, cross-mod integrations, and compatibility fixes.

Current features include:

• Mystical Agriculture seed genetics Seeds can carry Growth, Yield, Resistance, and Mutability traits that can improve over time.

• Genetic progression Genetic traits range from 0/4 to 4/4, allowing players to develop increasingly powerful crop lines.

• Botany Pots genetics integration Genetic data is preserved when Mystical Agriculture seeds are used in Botany Pots.

• Automatic genetic seed improvement Additional seeds produced by Botany Pots can mutate into better variants.

• Automatic seed selection Botany Pots can automatically replace their planted seed when a genetically superior seed is produced.

Seed priority: Yield > Growth > Mutability > Resistance

• Botany Pots Quick Insert Valid soils and seeds can be inserted directly into Botany Pots by right-clicking them, without opening the inventory.

• Server-authoritative genetics Mutation, seed selection, and inventory changes are handled by the server to prevent desynchronization and duplication.

• Expedition Foundry compatibility framework The mod provides a common codebase for future integrations and custom mechanics required by the modpack.

Future Expedition Foundry-specific features that require NeoForge code or direct integration with other mods will also be implemented through this Core mod whenever possible.

This keeps the modpack's custom systems centralized, easier to maintain, and easier to distribute through platforms such as CurseForge.

Expedition Foundry Core is primarily designed for use with the Expedition Foundry modpack.

Some features depend on other mods being installed and are automatically enabled only when the relevant mods are available.
