Description
Fake Fps+
Fake your FPS with ease — static or random values, configurable in-game. Works with Sodium, Iris, and any FPS counter mod.
Overview
Fake Fps+ is a lightweight Fabric mod that intercepts Minecraft's FPS display and replaces it with a value of your choosing. Whether you're recording content, streaming, benchmarking, or just want consistent FPS numbers on screen, this mod gives you full control with zero performance impact.
Features
- Configurable FPS Values: Choose between a static FPS number or a randomized range that updates naturally once per second.
- In-Game GUI (F6): Press F6 to open a clean configuration screen where you can toggle the mod, switch between static/random mode, and adjust values — all without leaving the game.
- Quick Toggle (F7): Press F7 to instantly enable or disable the mod mid-game.
- Persistent Settings: Your configuration is saved to a JSON file and automatically restored on next launch — set it once and forget it.
- No Performance Hit: The mod simply intercepts the FPS counter output. It doesn't inject frames, cap framerates, or affect rendering in any way.
- Works With Everything: Compatible with Sodium, Iris, OptiFine (via F3), Lunar Client FPS counter, and any other mod that reads Minecraft's built-in FPS counter.
How It Works
Fake Fps+ uses a single Mixin to intercept Minecraft.getCurrentFps() and return your configured value. When disabled, it passes through the real FPS
unchanged. In random mode, a new value is generated once per second with a small smoothing window to avoid jarring jumps.
Controls
┌─────┬────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ Key │ Action │
├─────┼────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤ │ F6 │ Open configuration GUI (static/random mode, value sliders) │

Configuration
The mod's config file is located at:
.config/fakefps/fakefps.json
You can edit it manually or use the in-game GUI. Available options:
- enabled (true/false) — Toggle the mod
- mode ("static" / "random") — FPS mode
- fakeFps (1-999) — Static FPS value
- minFps / maxFps (1-999) — Random range bounds
Java Agent (Experimental)
An experimental Java Agent version is included for Lunar Client, Feather Client, and Badlion, allowing the same functionality on non-Fabric clients. Add
the agent JAR to your launcher's JVM arguments:
-javaagent:/path/to/fakefps-agent-1.0.0.jar
The agent uses bytecode transformation (ASM) to intercept the FPS method. It supports the same F6/F7 hotkeys and includes a Swing-based configuration
window. Note: the agent is experimental and requires ASM on the classpath at runtime.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.11 / 26.1 / 26.1.1 / 26.1.2 / 26.2
- Fabric Loader >=0.19.3
- Fabric API
- Java 21+
