About
Description
This mod brings back the Far Lands, which were present in the default game until Beta 1.8. However, this mod does more than just bring them back. It also allows you to configure the distance at which they start, so that they are reachable without travelling 12,550,820 blocks.
Note: The mod connects to a server every time you open a world in order to check its version.
The URL the version checker polls also increments a counter every time it is requested, giving me a rudimentary play counter. Note that there is no player data sent: it is purely a count of how many times that URL has been requested.
It would be nice if you tell me what modpacks this ends up in (I'm curious), but you don't have to.
