Auto Brewing Ingredient

A lightweight client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.4 that speeds up potion brewing by automatically placing brewing ingredients into brewing stands.

No extra buttons. No complicated setup. Just hold your ingredient and open a brewing stand.

How It Works

1. Hold a valid brewing ingredient in your main hand.
2. Open a brewing stand.
3. The mod automatically moves one ingredient into the brewing stand's ingredient slot.
4. The brewing stand GUI closes automatically after the configured delay.

If the item in your hand is not a valid brewing ingredient, the brewing stand behaves exactly like vanilla Minecraft and no automation is performed.

Configuration (ModMenu)

The mod includes full ModMenu integration with the following options:

Auto Brewing

Enable or disable the automatic ingredient insertion.

Brewing Stand Color

Choose the color used to highlight recently used brewing stands, or disable the highlight entirely.

Click Delay

Configure the delay between inventory clicks.

Range: 0–5 ticks

Close Delay

Configure how long the brewing stand screen stays open before closing automatically.

Range: 0–5 ticks

Last Stands

Choose how many recently used brewing stands remain highlighted.

Range: 4–10

Instant Mode

If both Click Delay and Close Delay are set to 0, the mod performs the entire process instantly with no queued actions or delays.

Brewing Stand Highlight

Whenever an ingredient is successfully inserted, the mod renders a colored outline around that brewing stand.

The highlight is:

• Client-side only
• Purely visual (does not modify the world)
• Temporary
• Color configurable through ModMenu
• Limited to the number of recent brewing stands defined by Last Stands

No server installation is required.

Notes

This mod only automates the insertion of valid brewing ingredients. It does not brew potions automatically, consume ingredients unexpectedly, or alter vanilla brewing mechanics beyond reducing repetitive clicks.
