Description

Fast Travel Waypoints lets players fast-travel to Waystones directly from Xaero’s World Map.
It adds a clean 3-2-1 teleport with particles/sounds and is highly configurable.

📖 About 📖
Waystones is a staple in many modpacks - it’s simple, reliable and incredibly useful. The one thing that can get messy over a longer playthrough is the Waystone selection screen. It grows into multiple pages, gets filled with random generated names (especially with structure/worldgen mods), and makes finding the right destination slower than it should be.
With latest version of Xaero's World Map/Minimap your Waystones are already shown as waypoints on Xaero’s World Map, so you can quickly see where everything is - but you still have to go back to the Waystones UI and scroll/search every time you want to teleport.
Fast Travel Waypoints mod improves on that by adding a button to the normal Waystones selection screen, letting you use the world map as your fast-travel menu. Depending on your configuration, you can also just directly open the world map and travel from there.

TIP: If you have waystones that are very far apart and don’t want to scroll around the map, I recommend the Xaero Zoomout mod, which lets you zoom out to view up to 760k blocks wide at once.

⚙️How it works (and default behavior) ⚙️
On the Waystones selection screen, you’ll see a new button: Choose via World Map. That button opens Xaero’s World Map, where you can select your destination visually through Waystone waypoints instead.
- You can enable fast traveling from anywhere in the config if you prefer being able to fast travel to any Waystone from anywhere - just open the world map and teleport.
- You can also switch dimensions using the dimension toggle on the left side of the World Map screen, then teleport to Waystone waypoints in other dimensions.
The result is a familiar fast travel system like in open-world games such as Skyrim or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - simple, efficient and map-based.

All settings are in config/fast_travel_waypoints-common.toml
level_cost(default: 0) - XP levels consumed per fast travel (0 = free).use_waysones_xp_cost_scaling(default: false) - If true, map-based fast travel uses Waystones' configured XP cost calculation, including distance scaling and dimensional costs, instead of FastTravelWaypoints' level_cost and additional_level_cost_dimensional_travel.
Cross-dimensional travel:enable_cross_dimensional_travel(default: true) - Allows fast travel to waypoints in other dimensions when using Xaero’s World Map dimension toggle.additional_level_cost_dimensional_travel(default: 0) — Extra XP levels consumed when fast traveling between dimensions. This is added on top oflevel_cost
Nearby Waystone condition:require_nearby_waystone_for_use(default: true) - Only allow fast travel if the player is near a waystone.nearby_waystone_use_radius(default: 7, range: 1–64) - How close the player must be to any Waystone (in blocks) when "require_nearby_waystone_for_use = true".
Countdown:disable_countdown_when_near_a_waystone(default: true) - If enabled, removes the 3-second teleport countdown whenever the player is withinnearby_waystone_use_radiusblocks of any Waystonedisable_countdown_for_teleporting_from_anywhere(default: false) - If enabled, removes the 3-second teleport countdown for map teleports even when the player is not near a Waystone.
Open sky condition:require_open_sky_player(default: true) - Only allow fast travel if the player has open sky above them (ignores leaves, fluids, and glass-like blocks).require_open_sky_destination(default: false) - Only allow fast travel if the destination area has open sky above it.open_sky_dimension_whitelist(default: Overworld + The End) - Dimensions where the open-sky rules are enforced. (Nether is excluded by default).
