FastFood Delight [Fabric]

FastFood Delight [Fabric] brings the original mod's fast-food menu, waiter villagers, checkout machines, and village fast-food shops to Minecraft 1.17.1 on the Fabric loader. This is an independent community port, not an official release by the original author.

Choose your edition

Both editions contain the same core content and use the same mod id. Install only one of them.

• Faithful Edition (1.2.1+mc1.17.1) — preserves the original content, values, and behavior as closely as possible, with only the changes needed to run on Fabric 1.17.1. Original quirks and bugs are intentionally kept.
• Enhanced Edition (1.3.0+mc1.17.1) — built on the same port, with selected fixes and deliberate additions:
  • the checkout machine can be crafted;
  • the checkout machine uses the correct pickaxe tag, so it can be mined properly in survival;
  • non-plains villages use their own street pools;
  • non-plains shops also spawn a waiter;
  • Apple Sauce cooking requires and returns a bowl;
  • Chicken Wrap uses 11/0.8 with Resistance I (15 s);
  • village shop chests contain random FastFood Delight food.

The Enhanced Edition contains all Faithful content; it does not remove any base content, and the only value change is the Chicken Wrap food value listed above.

What's included

• 26 items: 24 food and drink items, a fries-bowl container, and the checkout machine block.
• Burgers, sandwiches, and wraps: Cheeseburger, Chicken Cheese Sandwich, Croque Monsieur, Pork/Cod/Salmon/Rabbit Sandwiches, Cheese Wrap, Chicken Wrap.
• Fried foods: French Fries, Carrot Fries, Fried Onions, and Chicken Nuggets (fries and fried onions return a fries bowl).
• Drinks: Cola Soda, Orange Soda, Lemon Soda, Creaming Soda, and Iced Tea. They give Regeneration I for 15 seconds and return a glass bottle.
• Desserts: four ice cream flavors and Apple Sauce (they return a bowl).
• Waiter villagers: a custom fast_food_waiter profession with 30 trades across five levels, paid in gold nuggets. Seven trades offer Farmer's Delight foods.
• Village shops: five fast-food houses injected into plains, desert, savanna, snowy, and taiga villages.
• Checkout machine: a decorative workstation block for the waiter profession. Like the original, it has no GUI or checkout transaction logic.
• Farmer's Delight cooking integration: four cooking pot recipes and Farmer's Delight items in recipes and trades.
• Languages: English (US/UK), French, and Simplified Chinese.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.17.1 (exact version)
• Fabric Loader (tested with 0.12.12; the mod declares a minimum of 0.11.6)
• Fabric API (tested with 0.46.1+1.17; the mod declares a minimum of 0.40.1+1.17)
• Farmer's Delight [Fabric] 0.1.3 — a separate dependency, not included in this download
• Java 16 or newer (required by Minecraft 1.17.1)

Farmer's Delight [Fabric] 0.1.3 is an archived community port based on Farmer's Delight 0.4.3, not the official Farmer's Delight. Download it from Modrinth: https://modrinth.com/mod/farmers-delight-fabric/version/cRnlUfGm

Installation

1. Install Minecraft 1.17.1 and Fabric Loader.
2. Download Fabric API and Farmer's Delight [Fabric] 0.1.3.
3. Download one edition of FastFood Delight: Fabric Port.
4. Put Fabric API, Farmer's Delight [Fabric], and the selected FastFood Delight JAR into your mods folder.
5. Launch the Fabric 1.17.1 profile.

Do not install both editions at the same time. They share the mod id fastfooddelight_fabric; remove the old JAR before switching.

Important notes and known limitations

• The checkout machine has no GUI and no checkout transactions; this matches the original mod.
• The five drinks have no crafting recipe and can only be obtained from waiter trades.
• Faithful Edition intentionally keeps original quirks: the checkout machine's incorrect mining behavior, no waiter in non-plains villages, plains-only street pools, Apple Sauce cooking without a bowl, Chicken Wrap at 10/0.8 with no effect, and other original values.
• In Enhanced Edition, the waiter's profession texture may be partly obscured in some non-plains villages. This is visual only.
• A Farmer's Delight trade item display anomaly was seen once during testing and could not be reproduced; it remains under observation.
• The mod supports Minecraft 1.17.1 only. It does not work on 1.18+, 1.19+, or Forge/NeoForge.
• No compatibility is promised with other mods, world conversions from the original Forge mod, or other loaders.
• Enhanced Edition fixes only the items listed above. Several original behaviors are deliberately kept (for example, the five drinks still have no crafting recipe, and the original values and quirks listed above remain).
