Bring Flashback to Android Minecraft.

FBA (Flashback for Android) is an unofficial compatibility addon for Flashback, designed to make using Flashback on Android Minecraft launchers easier and more reliable.

It provides Android-specific compatibility patches for desktop functionality that may not work correctly in Android environments, helping Flashback integrate with mobile launchers.

  • Android Compatibility — Patches parts of Flashback that rely on desktop-specific functionality unavailable or unsupported on Android.

  • File Dialog Integration — Adds Android-friendly handling for file selection and related file dialog operations where supported.

  • Export Support — Adapts export handling for Android environments, allowing files to be saved through compatible paths and workflows.

  • Runtime Patches — Uses Fabric mixins and additional compatibility code without requiring you to replace the original Flashback JAR.

  • Mobile Launcher Support — Developed with Android Minecraft launchers in mind, including ZalithLauncher 2, Mojo/MJLauncher, Amethyst Launcher, and other compatible launchers.

    Installation

  1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API for your Minecraft version.
  2. Download and install the original Flashback mod.
  3. Download FBA — Flashback for Android.
  4. Place both mod JAR files in your Minecraft "mods" folder.
  5. Launch Minecraft through your Android launcher.

Important: FBA is a compatibility addon, not a standalone replacement for Flashback. You must install the original mod separately.

Compatibility

Compatibility may vary depending on your Minecraft version, Flashback version, launcher, LWJGL implementation, and renderer. Not every feature is guaranteed to work across all Android devices and launcher configurations.

If you encounter an issue, please report it with your Minecraft version, launcher, renderer, device information, and crash log.
