## What is Fightura?
Fightura is a free Forge 1.20.1 client mod that makes Figura avatars render
correctly while Epic Fight is active. Without it your avatar stands in its idle
pose while Epic Fight swings a sword through it. One pipeline handles
everything — accessory avatars, full-body avatars and bend-bone rigs all use the
same matrix bridge that maps Figura parts to Epic Fight joints.
## Documentation

## Limbs bend
Arms bend at the elbow and legs at the knee on their own, whether the limb is a
mesh or a plain Blockbench cube. **No script, no setup.**
You don't need to chop a sleeve into segments to get it to bend, and you don't
need edge loops around the elbow. Fightura cuts the faces that cross the joint
on the way to the screen, using shared corners so no seam opens up, and only
where the bend needs them. A part that stops at the elbow is left rigid, so
avatars already built from separate segments render exactly as before.
The fold runs through Epic Fight's own elbow and knee joints — the ones its rig
carries for exactly this — so the crease lands where the animator put it.
The torso is handled too, and differently. Epic Fight weights the vanilla body
across two joints the whole way up rather than folding it, so Fightura uses the
same weights and a torso replacement leans the way the body it stands in for
does.
## Naming your parts
Name your model's groups the way Blockbench's player template already does and
everything is automatic:
`Head` · `Body` · `LeftArm` · `RightArm` · `LeftLeg` · `RightLeg`
Mixamo, Blender Rigify and VRM naming are recognised too — around 90 aliases —
and there's a Lua call for anything unusual.
> ⚠️ **Figura's torso part is called `Body`.** Name that group `Chest` or
> `Torso` instead and Figura doesn't recognise it, so it never gets parented to
> your body — it won't follow you even with this mod uninstalled. Rename it to
> `Body` and everything lines up.
## Features
- **Single-pipeline matrix bridge** — every Figura part follows its matching Epic Fight joint
- **Automatic bending** at elbows, knees and the torso, on cubes as well as meshes
- **Naming convention library** — English, Mixamo, Blender Rigify and VRM rig names out of the box
- **Lua API** for runtime bone overrides, per-part bend control, and Epic Fight state queries
- **Armor visibility** synced with Figura's `vanilla_model` API
- **Client-only** — no server installation required
## Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.x
- Java 17
- [Figura](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/figura) 0.1.5+1.20.1-forge
- [Epic Fight](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/epic-fight-mod) 20.14.15.1+
## Known limits
- Fold a solid four-pixel-thick limb past a right angle and the inside of the
crease has nowhere to put the material, so it creases into itself slightly.
Epic Fight's own limbs do the same. It shows if you go looking at a sharp
elbow; `fightura:setSkinBand(part, 6)` spreads the fold and softens it, at the
cost of a less defined joint.
- Bending covers the elbows, knees and torso. There is no blend at the neck,
wrists or ankles.
- Most idle poses barely move the elbow — about 7°, against 104° while swimming.
If you're checking whether it works, run or swim rather than standing still.

If something looks wrong, a screenshot of it plus the name of the avatar
you're wearing is usually enough to work out why.
