Fish O Meter

Fish O Meter transforms Minecraft fishing into an interactive, skill-based activity with weighted catches, satisfying feedback, progression, virtual currency, and a visiting Master Fisherman.

Skill-Based Fishing

When a fish bites, a modern tension meter appears with three accuracy zones:

• Blue outer zone
• Yellow middle zone
• Green sweet spot in the exact center

Time your reel-in correctly to land the fish. Accurate catches provide satisfying visual and sound feedback, including Hit and Perfect Strike effects. A configurable bell can also alert you whenever a fish bites.

Fish Sizes and Weight

Every caught fish receives:

• An exact generated weight
• A size category from Tiny to Huge
• A weight tooltip
• Additional XP based on its size

Weights can be displayed in either pounds or kilograms.

Master Fisherman

The Master Fisherman is a special travelling villager who visits randomly every 1–5 Minecraft days.

He arrives during the morning, fades into view, remains throughout the day, and disappears safely at night. His nighttime invisibility effect is visual and does not affect nearby players.

Sell weighted catches to the Master Fisherman to earn experience and Coin of Tooth currency.

Virtual Coin Economy

Coins are stored in a persistent virtual balance instead of being dropped as physical item entities. This prevents piles of dropped coins from causing unnecessary lag.

The Master Fisherman's shop deducts the exact purchase price directly from your balance. High-tier equipment is deliberately expensive, with the strongest rewards requiring long-term fishing progression.

Available rewards include maximally enchanted equipment, Netherite gear, Tridents, Elytra, Maces, special animal equipment, rare vanilla items, and the Master Angler's Rod.

Master Angler's Rod

The Master Angler's Rod comes with maximum fishing enchantments and a 3% chance to pull an additional rare or useful reward from Minecraft's vanilla fishing treasure loot table.

Commands

• /fishometer balance — Opens a temporary themed window showing your Coin of Tooth balance.
• /fishometer leaderboard — Opens a scrollable top-15 leaderboard ranked by coin balance and fish caught.

Controls

• M — Open Fish O Meter settings
• U — Quickly switch between pounds and kilograms

The settings menu also allows the fishing bell and other interface preferences to be configured.

Multiplayer

Fish O Meter supports singleplayer and multiplayer. For multiplayer servers, install the mod on both the client and server.
