Description

Summary

Eatting food sucks, well kinda. Beside filling our stomack they don’t do much, and that’s not enough in a game, I want something more, something better, and then the word “Food Buff” came to mind, and here we are.

Food N’ Fuel is a mod aims to give more value to niche vanilla food sources by turning them into a much better food for various situations, along with adding better fuel sources for bulk smelting and other modded machinery.

To see the recipe of all items. Just Enough Items (JEI) is reccommended.

For Farbic port please go to this link :D

Features

Currently the mod gives the players the option to:

  • Make “Honeyed" food by combining a honey bottle and certain food item in a crafting grid. Despite restoring the same hunger points and saturation of the original food item, it will heal the player for 4HP (2 hearts) once eaten and gives the player beneficial potion effects, either for combat or exploration.

Crafting Honeyed Bread

  • Prepping “Kelp-Wrapped” food to get ready for a comfy under water exploration.

  • Be able to cook edible food that can’t be cooked orginally (Carrot, Beetroot, Tropical Fish,…)

Cooked Carrot

Roasted Beetroot

  • Have farmable fuel by using overworld ingredients, which burns for 12 items (same as blaze rod)

Making Biofuels from beetroots, moss blocks and bone meal

  • And more.

FAQ

How many food and fuel items are you planning to add? - As many as the ingredients from vanilla allows.

Why the name Food N’ Fuel? - Since the name rhymth…

Backport? - Might take a little while, but most likely to 1.20.1 and 1.19.2 (have to cancel backporting to 1.19.x, since it clashed with other projects, apologies)

Any future plan? - No idea, I will add more food and fuel items as time goes.

Can I add this to my Modpack? - Oh you absolutely can, and the same with every modder, as long as you give credit where it's due when you public your modpack, I'm fine with whatever you use it for (whether it's for custom recipes or loot tables)

Everything is being done by me alone so it is expected to take sometimes.
