Description
🗿 Forgotten Ruins
Forgotten Ruins is a Minecraft mod that brings mysterious temples and lost relics into the heart of the jungle, swamps, and mangrove biomes.
Inspired by the dark fantasy atmosphere of Shadow of the Colossus, this mod invites players to explore long-forgotten sanctuaries, remnants of an ancient civilization protected by silent golems now reactivated by your presence.
The mod REQUIRE Dawn of Time & Armor of the Ages (+the dependencies)

🔍 What to expect
- Handcrafted ruins with secrets, parkour, traps, and thematic loot
- Dark, decayed architecture that blends naturally into the jungle, swamp, or mangrove
- Custom loot tables: damaged relics, cursed treasures, forgotten weapons and potions
- Guardian golems: silent sentinels, some still watchful… others unstable
- A mix of exploration, tension, and high rewards for those who reach the heart of the ruins
- No two ruins are identical—each has its own layout, lore, and dangers

Gameplay design
Forgotten Ruins is not just decorative. Each structure is built like a mini dungeon:
you’ll have to explore, climb, avoid traps, and face ancient defense systems.
It rewards players who take the risk—loot is rare, powerful, and often tied to the Armor of the Ages mod (with worn-out legendary armor, gold, potions, and enchanted relics).

Mod ecosystem
Forgotten Ruins is part of the Dawn of Time mod family.
It uses building blocks, mobs, and loot assets from the following :
- Dawn of Time – core assets & historical blocks
- Armor of the Ages – animated armor models & gear
- Ancient Structures – cultural overworld generation
These mods work independently but complement each other to create a rich worldbuilding and exploration experience.
