Description
Fossils and Archeology Rebirth
Dig up the past. Bring prehistoric animals back to life.
Fossils and Archeology Rebirth brings dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals to Minecraft, along with fossil excavation, ancient ruins and plenty of things to collect.
Start with a few fossils and build your way toward a prehistoric park, an archaeology collection, or a museum of your own.
From fossils to living animals
Dig up fossils, recover DNA with an Analyzer, and use a Culture Vat to prepare eggs and embryos. Hatch them, build suitable enclosures, and care for your animals as they grow.
The mod includes 64 prehistoric species, covering land animals, aquatic life and flying reptiles.
- Feed and tame your animals.
- Give them commands to wander, follow or stay.
- Ride supported species.
- Watch predators hunt, timid animals flee, and defensive animals protect themselves.
Different animals have different diets and behaviors, so give some thought to who shares an enclosure.
More than dinosaurs
Explore ruins, temples and volcanic terrain. Discover prehistoric plants, restore old artifacts, and assemble skeleton displays for your museum.
You can also trade with archaeologist and paleontologist villagers, collect ancient equipment, and work toward the Anu encounter and its treasury.
The Dinopedia provides information about your animals, exhibits and machines.
Five machines
| Machine | What it does |
|---|---|
| Analyzer | Processes fossils and other finds into DNA, plants and artifacts. |
| Culture Vat | Uses DNA and Bio-Goo to produce eggs and embryos. |
| Sifter | Searches sand and gravel for fossils and relics. |
| Worktable | Restores damaged artifacts and ancient equipment. |
| Feeder | Supplies food to nearby animals. |
Machines support hopper automation. Optional energy input can speed up processing.
Installation
Requires Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, and Java 25.
Install these Fabric libraries alongside the mod:
- Fabric API
- GeckoLib

- Structure Pool API
Team Reborn Energy is already bundled inside the mod jar.
For multiplayer, install the mod and its dependencies on both the client and server.
About this release
0.0.1 is the first Rebirth release.
The main gameplay systems have had focused testing. Animal balance, long play sessions, modpack compatibility and dedicated-server gameplay still need more testing.
Some systems have been simplified or rebuilt for modern Minecraft while keeping fossil excavation, animal care and archaeology at the center of the mod.
