Description
This mod adds visors (visor effect) to helmets from the Epic Knights mod (Magistu Armory), it does not change any mechanics and does not add new ones, but only makes the "Pumpkin" effect.
At the moment, the mod adds visors for the original Epic Knights mod and Epic Knights: Addon. Without these mods, my mod is useless. Visors are not displayed on all helmets, but only where I deemed necessary. I ignored helmets that are not fully enclosed, similar to the vanilla helmet. All visors are drawn by me. This mod is perfect for medieval-themed or RolePlay servers, and you can easily add it to your builds or servers. I recommend using this mod together with the Hit Indicator, as it helps you to navigate where the enemy is. (To simplify, otherwise the visor blocks quite a lot of the view). If you want to open or close the visor with third-person animation, use Swappable Helms for Epic Knights by SkyDog
The visors are based on the Epic Knights - Knight'sArmory32X32 texture pack, and the visors are 99% similar to the helmets with these textures. I found that the original mod textures were too detailed for the overlay.
The mod will be updated (probably). I have plans for this mod, but for now, it will be a regular "pumpkin" visor mod.
Plans for the future (maybe):
- Mute the sound when wearing the helmet. The sound will remain, but it will either become blurry or quiet.
- Improved overlay, creating a smoother and more realistic visor (similar to Kingdom Come)
It is also worth noting that I am not a programmer, and I used ChatGPT to write the code. In this mod, I only contributed the idea and the visors. I would also like to say that this is my first mod, and the idea for this mod came from magistu_, after he responded with a clear and concise "no" to my question about whether an overlay would be added when wearing a helmet in the future.
