Freelook For Clients
A client-side mod for Quilt and Fabric that adds a freelook keybind, allowing you to observe your surroundings without turning your character.
This is NOT a freecam mod! Freecam lets you detach your camera from your player and move it around as though you were in spectator mode, whereas freelook only serves to decouple the direction you're looking from the direction you're aiming.
Comparison to other freelook mods
As of writing, I could find two other freelook mods for Fabric/Quilt on Modrinth. The following table compares the features of these mods with each other and this mod:

Using freelook while flying An example of using freelook while flying with an elytra. You can pitch up to slow your descent, and then use freelook to survey the landscape. Without freelook, it's challenging to observe things while flying without crashing into them. -
Using freelook while mining An example of using freelook to watch out for threats while mining. Without freelook, you would have to stare at the obsidian while mining it, unable to see your surroundings. Using third-person is entirely optional.
