Freelook (Fabric, Client-Side Only)

Freelook is a lightweight, client-side only Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.x that allows you to decouple your camera rotation from your player's body orientation. This lets you freely look and orbit the camera around your character while running, flying, or standing still, without changing the direction your player is facing or moving.

• Decoupled Camera Rotation: Rotate the camera 360 degrees freely around your player model.
• Intuitive Hotkey Activation: Hold the hotkey (default: Left Alt) to active freelook instantly. Releasing the key immediately restores your previous perspective and view angle.
• Smart Perspective Switch: Automatically transitions the camera from 1st person to 3rd person back perspective upon activation and reverts it back when released.
• Intuitive Orbit Controls (Inverted Y-axis): Designed with comfortable camera orbiting in mind:
  • Mouse Up ➡️ Camera tilts Down
  • Mouse Down ➡️ Camera tilts Up
  • Mouse Left/Right ➡️ Camera orbits Left/Right
  • Client-Side Only: No server-side installation required. You can use it on any multiplayer server!
  • Fully Configurable: The hotkey can be easily rebound under the Freelook controls category in the standard Minecraft keybind settings.
