I implemented my idea for the interaction between sulfur cubes and frogs. It suggests a very niche solution to be able to place blocks automatically.

Description

This datapack is not well-optimised, and it primarily serves as a proof of concept.

Features:

  • Frogs target small sulfur cubes
  • Frogs eat sulfur cubes
  • When a large sulfur cube is eaten, a frog will spit out a small sulfur cube
  • When a sulfur cube with a block inside is eaten, there will be summoned a falling block. It retains the velocity of the sulfur cube.

You can also easily change the delay parameters (example with default values in ticks):

/function frogsulfur:params {eat_cooldown: 40, spit_delay: 20}

If you want to prevent frogs from spitting out a small sulfur cubes, set spit_delay higher than eat_cooldown.
