About

Description

FuelCanister adds the FuelCanister. It's a cheap item which fills itself with as much coal and charcoal as possible on right click. The filled fuel Canister can then be used as a furnace fuel. It combines great efficiency and long burntime, because it smelts one item at a time, but also can smelt as many Items as 8 Stacks of coal by default (16 until 1.15.2). The max Fuel and Fuel types can be changed in the config.

Since 1.15.2, the FuelCanister can also be filled by crafting it with a valid Fuel. By default, all Items, that can be used as furnace fuel and smelt at least 1/4 of an Item are considered valid fuel, but it can be changed in the config to only accept the items, that are also allowed to be used on right-click.

In the current 1.15.2 version (1.3), refueling with right-click does not work in creative mode!

Crafting:

Crafting

The Fuel Canister mod adds one Item: the FuelCanister.

It can be filled with different kinds of Fuel and then be used in a Furnace, where it burns one item at a time for maximum smelting efficiency.

Filling the Canister

The Canister can be filled in two ways:

  1. Combining it with any burnable fuel in a crafting grid
  2. Right-clicking the Item, which consumes all fuels in your inventory. This only consumes, that are whitelisted in the config.

Note, that the right-click method does not work in creative mode and I will not put effort into fixing this, as I see it as a non-issue.

Creative Canister

This mod also adds a Creative FuelCanister Item, that can only be obtained in the creative Tab. It does not consume fuel when burning and acts as an infinite fuel source

Configuration

The configuration uses the standard Forge Config Format and provides 3 Options. They are documented inside the toml files.

The configuration Option autoFuels is used to define which items are used by the right-click refueling.

It is a list of items, where each item can either be just an Item ID, or a JSON-Ingredient like in a Recipe. Quotes (") in the Ingredient must be escaped with a Backslash ()
