Galesong

A focused, vanilla-friendly wind-magic expansion for Minecraft.

Galesong turns the sky into a tool without replacing the rhythm of survival. Craft stormglass from amethyst, prismarine, copper, and glow ink; then shape it into useful windcraft for combat, exploration, and building.

Ride and command the wind

Gale Flute

Play a directional gust that sweeps through the space in front of you. It pushes hostile mobs and incoming projectiles away with distance-based force, extinguishes burning targets, and deliberately ignores pets and passive creatures. Its clear particles, sound, durability, and cooldown make it powerful without becoming a free permanent shield.

Updraft Bottle

Release a bottled current to launch upward and forward. A short Slow Falling window gives you time to steer toward a ledge or recover from the ascent. It is ideal for ravines, towers, emergency escapes, and creative traversal routes.

Build with the storm

• Stormglass Shards are the mod's compact survival crafting material.
• Stormglass Blocks glow with cool crystalline light and work as a bold architectural accent.
• Wind Chimes ring when used or struck by a projectile. Chimes exposed to the sky can also answer calm air and stormy weather on their own.

Designed for real worlds

• Server-authoritative abilities for dependable multiplayer behavior.
• Configurable ranges, strengths, movement, and cooldowns in config/galesong.properties.
• Recipes unlock naturally through the recipe book.
• Block drops, pickaxe tags, creative inventory placement, and a small introductory advancement are included.
• No mixins, no telemetry, no network calls, and no invasive vanilla patches.

Requirements

• Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11
• Fabric Loader 0.19.3+
• Fabric API
• Java 21

Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API, then place the Galesong JAR in the mods folder. Because Galesong adds items, blocks, models, and textures, it should be installed on both the server and every joining client.
