Description
🎰 Gamble It!
Turn any world into a casino. Deposit your loot for chips, and risk it all across eight fully-featured casino games — Coin Flip, Slots, Mines, Blackjack, Roulette, Plinko, Scratch Tickets, and Crash. Cash your chips back out for anything in the game when you're done (or when you're broke).
Built for NeoForge 1.21.1, works in singleplayer and on dedicated multiplayer servers.
How it works
- Press H to open the casino from anywhere — no special item or block required.
- Drop any item into the deposit slot to convert it into chips.
- Pick a game, place your bet, and play.
- Hit Cash Out to browse every item in the game — sorted however you like — and buy it back with your chips.
That's the whole loop. No crafting recipes to learn, no blocks to place, no setup. Give the mod to your players and they can be at a blackjack table in ten seconds.
🎲 The Games
Coin Flip — Simple 50/50 double-or-nothing. Pick heads or tails and watch the coin actually flip.
Slots — Classic 3-reel slot machine with real item icons (coal → iron → gold → emerald → diamond → netherite → Nether Star as the jackpot symbol). Reels spin down one at a time instead of resolving instantly.
Mines — Pick how many bombs are hidden in a 5×5 grid, then reveal tiles one at a time. Every safe tile pushes your multiplier higher — cash out whenever you want, or push your luck.
Blackjack — The real rules: dealer hits on soft 17, blackjack pays 3:2, doubling down, the works. Cards deal one at a time with a sound, like an actual dealer is dealing them.
Roulette — A genuine spinning wheel (European, single zero) with a ball that actually spirals in and lands where the server says it lands. Place multiple bets at once — straight numbers, red/black, odd/even, dozens — just like a real table, then spin them all together.
Plinko — Drop the ball and watch it physically bounce down the peg board along the exact path the server generated. Buckets are color-coded by payout (cool blue in the middle, hot red at the jackpot edges) and labeled with their multiplier. Choose Low, Medium, or High risk for different payout curves.
Scratch Tickets — Buy a ticket, watch the nine panels flip over one at a time. Match three symbols to win.
Crash — Watch the multiplier climb in real time and cash out before it crashes. The crash point is generated and hidden server-side the instant the round starts, so there's no way to peek ahead — you're genuinely racing the clock.
Every game runs its outcome through a short suspense animation before revealing the result. The result itself is always decided the instant you bet — the animation is just there so a bet actually feels like a bet instead of an instant coin-flip of numbers.
💰 The Economy
- Deposit anything. Every item in the game — vanilla or from another mod — has a chip value. Give something specific a custom price with
/casino setvalue, configure default rates for common items, or just let the built-in fallback price handle everything else. Nothing is ever rejected at the counter. - Cash out anything. The Cash Out screen is a full, scrollable, sortable browser of every item currently in the game — sort by name or by price, click to buy, shift-click for a full stack.
- A real house edge. Both depositing and cashing out take a configurable percentage fee (10%/10% by default), so the casino can't be used as a free 1:1 trading post between items — you'll always lose a bit on the round trip, the same way a real casino's chip counter works.
- Every game has its own built-in house edge baked into its payout math, same as a real casino — the games are genuinely random and fair, they're just not even-odds.
🛠️ For Server Owners
/casino setvalue <item> <chips>— price any item, including modded ones, without touching a config file or restarting./casino removevalue//casino getvalue//casino listvalues— manage and audit your pricing.- Full config file (
casinomod-server.toml) for exchange rates, minimum/maximum bets, the starting chip bonus, and both fee percentages. It's a server-side config, so it automatically syncs to every connecting client — no player-side setup, no mismatched numbers. - Everything is server-authoritative. Every card, every spin, every mine layout, and the hidden crash point are all decided on the server the instant a bet is placed. Clients only ever display what the server tells them to — there's nothing for a modified client to exploit.
- Fully multiplayer-safe. Balances and active game sessions are tracked per-player and processed on the main server thread, so concurrent players never interfere with each other's games or economy.
🎨 Presentation
Every screen shares one consistent look: a wood-trimmed casino floor with a green carpet background, and a felt-covered table for the actual game surface. No placeholder gray inventory screens — this was built to actually feel like a casino, not a spreadsheet with buttons.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge
- No other mods required
Notes
- This mod involves in-game gambling using an in-game virtual currency (chips) exchanged for in-game items. No real-world money or purchases are involved anywhere in this mod.
- Intended for players who enjoy risk/reward minigames. If you'd rather your server not include gambling mechanics at all, this mod (like any other) is entirely optional to install.
