Gem Infusions

Gem Infusions adds new high quality looking ores and gems to the game. These gems can be applied to weapons and pickaxes. Gems provide powerful buffs to the player.

There are three new ores. Mithril, Pyrite and Osmium. Each provide different buffs and gameplay styles to the player. Each come with unique weapons.

Gem Infusions V4.2: Deep Dark Sight Seeing

Gem Infusions V4.2: Deep Dark Sight Seeing is a smaller deep dark themed update. This update adds the Grim Furnace and reverse gems. These gems are made in the Grim Furnace and perform the reverse effects of their counterparts. These reverse gems are unstable and dont bend to the laws of the conventional universe. Not all gems can be reversed. The Grim Furnace is made with Osmium and Echo Shards.

Welcome to Gem Infusions V4: Trapped In The Nether

Gem Infusions V4: Trapped In The Nether is a Nether themed update to Gem Infusions. It is the next major update for Gem Infusions. This update adds more content to the Nether such as additional gems, ore, armor and weapons. This update also finishes adding everything intended for the overworld. Adding an additional gem, ore, armor and more weapons.

Seen above is Foolsgold, the new ore in the nether and various things that can be made with it. Additionally there is also the Nether Gem Polisher, for those who want a more spicy Gem Polisher. And the Warped Amber Gemstone. A unique gem that can be found growing out of the Warped Fungus Trees.

Meanwhile in the overworld

 Rounding out and finishing up the overworld is Osmium Ore. An extremely dense and heavy ore, used for making armor and bunker busting weaponry. And Bismuth Crystals. Bismuth is the first "gem" that can be applied to pickaxes to give the player a powerful buff for mining.

In addition to new gems and ores. Each ore comes with new weapons.

Foolsgold comes with the Foolsgold Dagger and Chained Dagger. The Foolsgold Dagger allows for powerful backstabs. Meanwhile the Chained Dagger allows for powerful ranged attacks and is even upgradable.

Osmium adds the Osmium Executioner sword. Both monstrous in its raw power and sheer weight. Its swings can shred potion abilities from its opponent and stop the player from taking killing blows at a moments notice.

There are eleven gems in the mod and three new ore's.

Each gem provides one or two buffs to the player. 

Ruby for example gives you strength when you fuse it to your sword.

With the introduction of 1.18 and the new world height and depth limit. There is a new opportunity for gem generation. As of 1.18.2 some gems can now only be found deeper in the world, such as ruby or topaz.

 To apply a gem to your sword you will first need to craft a binding for your blade. The binding allows you to socket a gem to your sword in the Smithing Table. The Iron Binding is the basic binding.

The Gold Binding doubles the effects of the buff, but doesn't last very long. This also lowers the durability of the sword.

Gems will need to be polished in the Gem Polisher before they can be socketed to a sword.

TIPS: 

Just Enough Items or other similar mods will show you crafting recipes for everything in this mod.

Biome mods do not affect gem generation.

Some gems are only found at certain depths in the world. Some are not found in "the world".
