Gems is heavily inspired on things such as Bliss SMP and Origins, where at the beginning of your world/server you choose a gem and upgrade as the world goes on. There are structures around the world that hold lore and cool structures, theres around 14 Gems you can choose from:

Fire Water Warp Mobility Combat Miner Frost Wither Summoner Stealth Construct Luck Reaper Decaying

Each with their own abilities/strengths.
