Looking for a 1.16 version? This mod does the same thing: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/dismount-entity
I always end up with sea turtles stuck in my boats and I always have to destroy the boat and place it again. So I made a mod to remedy that.
Shift-right clicking a boat or minecart will kick out any passengers, unless one of them is another player.
That's it. That's the entire mod.
