About
Description
Glyphborn is a deep equipment modification system inspired by aRPG games like Diablo and Path of Exile.
The depth of an aRPG without the overhead - Glyphborn integrates naturally into the game and other mods. Every player's path is unique, and you have real influence over part of the randomness. Everything is intuitive and doesn't ask you to learn a new.
Works out of the box for vanilla players. For modpack makers - full config support for balancing and integration with other mods.

Features:
Equipment
Gear is no longer just something you replace and forget - it's the foundation of your build. "Any sword will do" stops working here: you'll be hunting for the right one. Every item rolls completely random stats on drop, and there's no way to change them - only find or craft something better.
Runes
Runes are the primary way to push your gear further. Every rune that drops is unique. They fall from defeated mobs - the stronger the mob, the better the odds and the higher the tier. Bosses can be especially generous. Interaction is as simple as it gets: got an empty socket? Click a rune into it - no crafting stations, no extra menus. Changed your mind? Right-click to pull it back out.
Durability
The durability system has been reworked - it's a more limited resource now, and worth keeping an eye on.
Item tooltips
Gear shows final attribute values right on the tooltip - no mental math required. Hold Shift to break it down by source: see exactly what's coming from where and how the numbers stack up.

Consumables
All consumable interactions are simple: just click the item onto your gear.
- Field Repair Kit - keeps your equipment going during an adventure, but won't restore it to full condition.

- Ash Pouch - rerolls a rune's affixes into new random ones, leaving its tier untouched.

- Runic Nail - a genuinely valuable consumable: adds a new socket to any item at the cost of permanently reducing its max durability.

Compatible components:
- Copper Ingot -Prioritizes the affix with the lowest tier
- Iron Ingot - Modifies a random affix tier
- Gold Ingot - Amplifies the effects of other components
- Diamond - Prioritizes the affix with the highest tier
- Emerald - Modifies the item's own tier
- Netherite Ingot - Fully rerolls the entire item
- Ghast Tear - Modifies a random affix (can exceed item limits) and locks it from further change
Recipes:
Field Repair Kit

Ash Pouch

Runic Nails can be found in chests across the Overworld and Nether. Alternatively, a Master Weaponsmith will sell you one - for the low, low price of 64 emeralds and a netherite scrap.
Handle rune extraction with care
Don't assume you can swap runes in and out freely. Each extraction carries a small chance of triggering a powerful curse - while it's active, you're extremely vulnerable and further extractions are locked. Best done outside of combat.
Compatibility
Curios - full support for Curios slot items with fine-grained config options.
Epic Fight - complete compatibility with attributes added by this mod.
Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks - full support for attributes and Curios slot items - with zero native integration. It just works.
Any other mod using Vanilla/Forge Attributes.
For modpack makers:
Can I use this in my modpack? Absolutely.
All mechanics identify stats by attribute ID - meaning you can control any Vanilla/Forge Attribute from other mods with no support needed from their authors. Everything is configured through config files.
Configs can be reloaded in-game using /reload - no restart required.
