THIS MOD IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED, AS ON MY PAGE, IT IS NOW REPLACED BY MIGL. THANK YOU

Godless: Early Game
is a beginner-friendly survival mod that focuses solely on early-game wood gathering mechanics without trying to do too much like other anti-tree punching mods whilst still maintaining the feel of old anti-tree punch mods. Instead of outright blocking players from punching trees, it introduces self-damage for punching logs without proper tools, encouraging crafting, resource collection, and strategic choices, as well as allowing players to put "two and two" together without the need of a guide. The mod also introduces the Dali (Dallas), a cheap, fast, hybrid tool that can act as an axe but with its own mechanics, slower log-breaking speed, lower durability, and unique enchantments, making it accessible and flexible for new players.

  1. Anti-tree punch mechanics
As ive said before, breaking a log hurts a player instead of outright prevention. Allowing a player to craft a crafting table at the very least. however, one can craft a dali/dallas using one less stick and core material (ex. one less diamond). allowing the tool to be crafted without a crafting table if you choose to break leaves for sticks. The idea of damage over prevention is beginner friendly and still encourges tool usage, preventing the need of yet another guide book
  2. What is this "Dali" you speak of?
Glad you asked! As ive explained before, it is a cheaper to craft axe, whilst still being different and worse in many degrees. it has 1.9 attacking speed, its own enchantments, 2 damage in wooden form, and 6 damage in netherite form.  Using math, we can determine:
"The netherite sword does about 12.8 DPS, the netherite axe has 10 DPS, and the Dallas has 11.4 DPS."The enchantments limited to the Dallas include:
      1. Druid 1-3; this is like a poison fang enchantment. it always lasts 4 seconds but increases potency for every level of enchantment.
      2. Slicement; this is a enchantment that allows for "phantom" damage after you damage an entity, doing sweeping edge damage for 4 seconds, with 1-2 sweeps every second, doing half a heart of damage each.
      3. Pounce 1-3; this acts like the lunge enchantment from a spear, but its movement based instead of damage based and less restricting, you can only spam it if you have dali's of different varients in your invetory, for example you cannot dash twice with 2 netherite dali's, but you can with 1 netherite dali and 1 diamond dali
      4. Defilement 1-3; this will do objective damage that can go through armor, but once you attack twice with it the objective damage stops and you are on a cooldown, this also affects the pounce enchantment, which will make so you cant pounce.
    1. The dali can be crafted using resources from caverns and chasms and Nethers exoticism
  3. What does the name "Godless" mean?
I've noticed there isnt really a genre name or easy way to find minecraft mods that make the game harder. So ive created the name "Godless". its orgins only mean "There is no god to help you". Just meant to be metal. Anyone can use this name, you dont need to credit me; and I doubt I'm the first to use it.

4. Do you have a discord server, where I can talk with you, ask away, and give suggestions?

I know you didn't ask that, but I do! here is the link:
