Description

Gomu Gomu Arms

Gomu Gomu Arms is a lightweight, client-side visual mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. It gives player arms an elastic, jelly-like stretching effect during attacks and interactions.

The mod changes presentation only. It does not increase reach, alter damage, modify hitboxes, change attack cooldowns, or add server-side gameplay rules.

Features

  • Elastic arm animations in first person and third person
  • Target-aware stretching toward entities, blocks, and the crosshair
  • Optional held-item rendering at the end of the elastic arm
  • Configurable stretch, contact, and retract timing
  • Adjustable jelly strength, arm width, opacity, visual distance, afterimage trails, and sounds
  • No required content dependencies

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Minecraft Forge 47 or newer
  • Java 17
  • Client-side installation

The mod does not need to be installed on a dedicated server.

Installation

  1. Install Minecraft Forge 47+ for Minecraft 1.20.1.
  2. Place gomugomuarms-0.2.4.jar in the Minecraft mods folder.
  3. Launch the game.

Configuration

Client settings are generated in:

config/gomugomuarms-client.toml

The configuration includes first-person and third-person rendering, animation timing, jelly strength, arm width, visual distance, opacity, trails, compatibility behavior, and sound options.
