About

Description

Ents exist to cultivate and protect forests in the overworld. Seven variants will spawn based on the vanilla trees; oak, dark oak, birch, acacia, spruce, jungle, and (in the 1.20. version) cherry

The ents will plant saplings and bonemeal the ground on occasion. Ents are a neutral mob that will leave you alone unless you attack them, however they are protective of their forests, so stripping a log or breaking a log will make them hostile. At night, they stand completely still in hibernation. Giving an Ent an apple will help negate the aggression.

Upon death, there is a chance the ents will drop logs and bark.

Stripping a log will also yield bark which can be crafted into paper.

Any mod files not ending in 2.0 have been archived. Unless they're 2.0 files, don't download them.

In case you're struggling, I have done some testrunning to see which forge versions work with the following:
1.18.2 works just fine with forge version 40.2.0
1.20.1 works with forge version 47.1.0 to 47.1.3. do not try to run the mod on a higher version.

Thanks to Nyfaria for helping write the script for this mod to work and tigerjess43 for the animations.

Ents are now almost twice as tall as they used to be and are more intimidating, complete with new animations and none of the old behavior bugs. They will wake up and attack you if you hit them at nigh
