Description
🌀 Grid World: The 89.67% Void Challenge
What happens when almost the entire world disappears?
Welcome to Grid World, a bold and brutal terrain-modification challenge where only 10.33% of blocks survive world generation. This mod replaces nearly all natural terrain with air—leaving behind a sparse, lattice-like grid of blocks at 5-block intervals.
You’ll spawn into a world that’s eerily empty. The terrain is fractured. Biomes still exist, structures still generate, and mobs still spawn—but the land itself is mostly gone. What’s left is a minimal framework of blocks… and your creativity.
🌍 Features
-
🌫️ 89.67% of blocks replaced with air: It's a 3D grid!
-
🏰 Structures are untouched: Villages, temples, mineshafts, and other generated structures still appear as normal.
-
🧱 Sparse but consistent: The remaining blocks form a 3D grid you can use to navigate and build from.
-
🌱 Survival-focused: Trees, ores, and basic terrain features are drastically reduced—every resource is a rare find.
-
🧭 Compatible with most terrain mods: Should work with mods that don't completely override vanilla chunk generation.
✨ Inspiration
Minimal World is inspired by:
-
Ray's Grid: a minimalist terrain concept with challenge-driven gameplay.
-
SethBling’s SkyGrid: the original block-grid survival idea that redefined skyblock.
-
This mod takes those inspirations and asks: "What if the entire terrain obeyed the grid—and almost nothing else remained?"
