Description:

Heya! Welcome to my second mod, the HaloEnergySwordsMod. This mod brings in the classic Energy Sword we all know and love! This bad boy is a killing machine, capable of one-shotting all regular mobs, and 2-shotting endermen with its 25 damage! However, with great power comes a price, as this weapon only has 100 durability. However, this durability is far better than the actual Halo games, where it only has 10 hits before it gets destroyed, so yea..

(if you feel that after playing with the mod the durability is too low or high, make sure to leave a comment. If enough people comment that the durability is terrible, I will change it to what you guys feel is more balanced. So make sure to comment down below!)

Crafting:

This weapon is a bit costly in terms of materials, however after playtesting, I managed to get my first Energy Sword in 30 minutes. You will need to craft a few separate items that the Energy Sword is made of;

(Crafting Recipes can be found in the 'Screenshots' tab!)

The first part is the Energy Sword Hilt, and it is crafted with 2 iron ingots and a diamond in an upside-down bucket shape (diamond in middle of bucket shape, iron as outside parts of bucket shape. hope that makes sense.)

The second part is the Plasma Projection Device, crafted with a flint & steel in the middle, with 2 gold ingots to the sides of it, and iron nuggets across the top and bottom rows.

The third part is the Energy Storage Module, made with 3 redstone blocks along the middle row, and iron nuggets along the top and bottom rows.

And finally, you will need to craft 2 Magnetic Field Generators by putting a row of iron ingots in the middle row, and iron nuggets along the top and bottom rows.

Once these are all made, shove them all into a crafting table however you like, and viola! A brand new killing machine has been created for you to use. As shown above, you will need to have gotten some diamonds as well as some other stuff, so get mining!

To create the dyed variants, place your Energy Sword as well as the desired dye into the crafting table, and create a colourful energy sword.

Authors Notes:

In future updates, I would like to make it so that you could dye your Energy Sword, however this isn't a promise that it will be implemented, so yea... THIS IS DONE!
