HarderCore

Vanilla Hardcore is a joke. HarderCore fixes that.

HarderCore is a vanilla plus mod that changes Hardcore completely. Available for both NeoForge and Fabric.

All features are strictly active only when playing in Hardcore mode.

🟪 Custom UI

  • Purple Hearts: Replaces the default Hardcore hearts with custom purple hearts.

🩸 Healing & Health Mechanics

  • Disabled Totems: Totems of Undying are completely disabled.
  • No Natural Regen: Natural health regeneration is turned off entirely.
  • Gapple Cooldown: Eating a Golden Apple or Enchanted Golden Apple triggers a 10-second cooldown on both items.

☠️ Environmental & Movement Hazards

  • Midnight Spawn: Hardcore worlds spawn you directly at 14,000 ticks (midnight).
  • Pitch Black Blindness: Standing in light levels of 3 or lower inflicts instant Blindness.
  • Crippling Fall Damage: Taking any fall damage immediately applies Slowness II.
  • Heavy Armor Weight: Armor weighs you down heavily:
  • 12+ Armor Points: Applies Slowness I
  • 18+ Armor Points: Applies Slowness II

⚠️ Debuffs

  • Total Insomnia (No Sleeping): Sleeping is completely disabled. You cannot skip the night.
  • Low Health Death Spiral: Dropping to 6 HP or lower (3 hearts or less) inflicts Mining Fatigue II and Weakness I.

🧟 Buffed Hostile Mobs

  • Deadly Mob Traits: All Undead, Arthropod, and Illager mob types automatically spawn with permanent Strength I and Speed 2.

Works strictly in Hardcore worlds. Regular Survival worlds remain completely untouched. Available for NeoForge and Fabric.

  • Purple Hearts: Replaces the default Hardcore hearts with custom purple hearts to match the darker, unforgiving vibe.

🩸 Healing & Health Mechanics

  • Disabled Totems: Totems of Undying are completely disabled. No second chances.
  • No Natural Regen: Natural health regeneration is turned off entirely (UHC style). Every heart lost stays lost until you actively heal.
  • Gapple Cooldown: Eating a Golden Apple or Enchanted Golden Apple triggers a strict 10-second cooldown on both items, preventing panic-spamming in fight-or-flight situations.

  • Midnight Spawn: Hardcore worlds spawn you directly at 14,000 ticks (midnight). Zero day-one grace period.
  • Pitch Black Blindness: Standing in light levels of 3 or lower inflicts instant Blindness. You better carry torches at all times.
  • Crippling Fall Damage: Taking any fall damage immediately applies Slowness II.
  • Heavy Armor Weight: Armor weighs you down heavily:
  • 12+ Armor Points: Applies Slowness I
  • 18+ Armor Points: Applies Slowness II
