Description
HarvestHand
Right-click a fully grown crop to harvest it and replant it in one go. Hold a hoe to harvest a whole 3×3.
No more breaking crops, picking up seeds and replanting them one by one. Right-click and move on. The crop drops its harvest and goes straight back to a freshly planted seedling.
No client install, no new items, and each player can turn it off with one command.
Features
- 🌾 Right-click harvest. Works on wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, nether wart and cocoa, plus modded crops built on Minecraft's standard crop block.
- 🌱 Automatic replanting. One seed from the harvest pays for the replant, exactly as if you'd replanted it yourself. Cocoa pods stay on the same side of the log.
- ⛏️ Hoe area harvest. Right-click with a hoe to harvest every fully grown crop in a 3×3 around the one you clicked. Young crops in the area are left alone.
- 🍀 Fortune works. Harvests use the real loot tables with your held tool, so a Fortune hoe gives Fortune drops.
- 🛡️ Tool-safe. Area harvesting uses 1 hoe durability per crop and stops before your hoe breaks.
- 🔒 Respects protection. Adventure mode, spawn protection and claim mods that block interaction all stop harvesting too.
- 🙅 Out of your way. Young crops aren't touched, and crouching skips the harvest so you can still place blocks normally.
How to use
- Wait until a crop is fully grown.
- Right-click it. It drops its harvest and replants.
- Holding a hoe? Every fully grown crop in the 3×3 around it is harvested at once.

For modpacks and datapacks
Add blocks to the #harvesthand:no_harvest block tag to stop them being right-click harvested.
Installation
- Requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
- Server-side. On a multiplayer server, only the server needs HarvestHand; players can join with a vanilla client.
- Singleplayer: put it in your own
modsfolder.
FAQ
Does it work with modded crops? Yes, if the crop uses Minecraft's standard crop block, which most do.
Can I still bone-meal or place blocks on crops? Yes. Only fully grown crops are harvested, and crouching skips harvesting entirely.
Does it work on sweet berries? Vanilla already lets you right-click sweet berry bushes, so HarvestHand leaves them to vanilla.
Licensed CC0 1.0: use it in any modpack, no permission needed.
