Harvestweald Lite — grow, cook, make it yours

67 CROPS & FRUIT TREES   •   92 FOODS & DRINKS
9 KITCHEN STATIONS   •   181 KITCHEN RECIPES

Minecraft Java 26.3   |   Fabric   |   Lite 1.6.1

A little plot. A full pantry. A place to call home.

Turn a patch of farmland into something worth coming home to. Grow rows of vegetables, plant an orchard, mill your own flour and fill your kitchen with pies, preserves, cheese and warm meals. Harvestweald Lite connects growing, processing and cooking into one satisfying farm-to-table loop.

Build a quiet cottage garden or a productive homestead with sprinklers, hoppers and a mechanical harvester. Start small, learn the crops and let your farm grow with you.

What makes it Lite? All crops and fruit trees can grow in every biome, at any time of the year. There are no seasons, calendar or climate restrictions. Soil, light, water and each plant's physical requirements still matter.

01   GROW YOUR OWN WAY

67 crops and fruit trees give every corner of your farm a purpose. Sow rye, oats, barley, rice, corn and buckwheat. Build trellises for tomatoes, cucumbers and grapes. Grow strawberries and blueberries beside the path, then plant apples, pears, cherries, citrus and nut trees for your orchard.

Expand your kitchen garden with broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, leeks, asparagus and artichokes. Add herbs, mushrooms and ingredients such as sesame and peanuts to open up new recipes.

Different plants, different little projects

  • Rice: plant near ordinary water. A sprinkler keeps soil moist, but does not replace rice's water requirement.
  • Climbing crops: provide an adjacent trellis.
  • Mushrooms: choose suitable soil or logs and a shaded spot.
  • Fruit trees: leave room for the tree to grow.
  • Tall crops: keep space above them clear.

Go beyond planting and waiting with soil fertility, crop rotation, seed vigor, pollination and watering cans. Use the soil probe to understand your growing conditions. Bone meal remains available when you want to give a crop a helping hand.

02   A KITCHEN WORTH BUILDING

Your harvest is the beginning. Turn grain into flour, flour into dough, berries into preserves and milk into cheese. With 92 foods and drinks and 181 processing recipes, there is always another reason to expand the garden.

Make pancakes for breakfast, garden pizza for dinner, or take a nut trail bar on your next expedition. Try spinach ravioli, mushroom risotto, vegetable lasagna and cranberry cheesecake. The pantry you build shapes the meals you can make.

Nine stations, each with a job

  • Cutting Board — prepare ingredients, mix dough and assemble meals.
  • Mill — turn grains into flour.
  • Press — make cooking oil and juices.
  • Cooking Pot — prepare porridge, stews and other cooked dishes. Requires fuel.
  • Skillet — fry pancakes and other skillet meals. Requires fuel.
  • Farm Oven — bake pies, pizzas and oven dishes. Requires fuel.
  • Preserving Barrel — turn fruit into jams and preserves.
  • Cheese Vat — make cheese, cream, butter, yogurt and plant-based milk.
  • Drying Rack — dry fruit and other ingredients. Requires fuel.

Your first berry pie

Mill: 2 rye → 2 flour
Cutting Board: 2 flour + 1 water bucket → 4 dough
Farm Oven: 2 dough + 3 strawberries + 1 sugar → 2 berry pies

Open a station, add the matching ingredients and supply fuel where required. The recipe starts automatically. Each station has one clear output slot; a full or incompatible output pauses processing without consuming ingredients or fuel.

More elaborate food provides limited level-I effects, with durations shown in the handbook and tooltips. The 19 drinks use drinking animations and sounds, and can be enjoyed even when your hunger bar is full.

03   LESS CHORE. MORE FARM.

Keep the hands-on charm of a smallholding while giving bigger fields a helping hand.

Rain Barrel → Sprinkler → Healthy farmland

A Rain Barrel stores up to 16 buckets of water and collects rain under an open sky. Place a Sprinkler directly beside it to transfer water, or fill either device manually with a bucket. No irrigation channels are needed in Lite.

The sprinkler stores 4 buckets and hydrates farmland across a 9×9 area. It spends water when it finds dry farmland, so give it a water supply and let it handle the routine watering.

Harvest a 5×5 plot

Place the Mechanical Harvester in the centre of your field, supply fuel and collect the main crop from its single output slot. It harvests mature plants while preserving the planting. Seeds and other byproducts drop beside the machine after a successful harvest.

A blocked output leaves the crop in place and does not spend fuel on that harvest. For mixed fields, a hopper below helps keep the output moving.

Make the workshop work for you

  • Hoppers: feed ingredients from above, fuel from the side where needed, and extract finished products below. Stations without fuel also accept ingredients from the side.
  • Redstone: pause machines when you want control over the process.
  • Storage: grain sacks, produce crates and cheese racks each provide 27 slots.
  • Loaded chunks: machines operate while their chunks are loaded.

04   YOUR FARM, EXPLAINED

The illustrated handbook brings together six chapters, an atlas of all crops and fruit trees, machine instructions and every kitchen recipe. Keep it nearby as you plan your next field or learn a new station.

Prefer browsing ingredients and recipes on screen? Optional JEI integration includes all 181 kitchen processes and current growing requirements. The handbook remains useful without JEI.

05   YOUR FIRST DAYS ON THE FARM

  1. Open the handbook. Pick a few crops and check their planting requirements.
  2. Prepare a small plot. Give it suitable soil, water and light; add trellises where needed.
  3. Build your first kitchen. Start with a mill and cutting board, then add the station for a dish you want to make.
  4. Give the harvest a purpose. Follow a recipe from crop to ingredient to finished meal.
  5. Expand at your own pace. Add an orchard, a rain barrel and sprinkler, then automate a 5×5 field when you are ready.

06   INSTALLATION & QUICK ANSWERS

Required: Minecraft Java 26.3, Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer, and Fabric API 0.162.0+26.3. Put the mod and its required dependencies in your mods folder.

Optional recipe viewer: JEI. The verified setup uses JEI 31.12.0.65 with Mezz Config; use versions matching your Minecraft installation.

Can I install Full and Lite together?
No. Keep only one version of livingfarm in the same mods folder.

Do I need a greenhouse or the right season?
No. Lite removes seasonal and climate restrictions. Crops still need their normal planting conditions. The Greenhouse Heater retains its fuel animation but is not required for growth in Lite.

Why has my machine stopped?
Check the recipe, fuel if required, output space and redstone signal. A full output deliberately pauses processing.

Does this include the upcoming seasons and village overhaul?
This description covers Lite 1.6.1. Features being developed for other editions are not part of this feature list.

Plant something new. Cook something good. Make yourself at home.
