Description
HAUNT – An Emotecraft Addon
Ghost Players with real gestures—wave, point, nod—then they’re dragged down as they vanish.
They can appear by windows, in halls, or out in the open; ghost dogs may arrive after rough moments or at night to lead you to hidden loot. Tweak frequency, range, and allowed places.
What it does
When tired, Transparent Player Ghosts randomly appear in the distance (or your window), make a quick gesture (wave, point, nod) depending on distance, and then sink out of sight as they disappear.

Ghost dogs sometimes show up after tense moments or on their own at night and guide you toward hidden treasure, then fade away.

You control the vibe: how often, how far away, and which biomes/dimensions are allowed.
Why you’ll like it
Cinematic spooks, not jump-scares. Short, weird sightings you’ll want to tell friends about.
Lightweight. Built to stay smooth on normal worlds and play nicely with shaders.
Fully adjustable. Turn it down for quiet survival or turn it up for haunted server nights.
Requirements
Fabric 1.21.1
Java 21
Emotecraft (hard dependency)
(Install Fabric API + Emotecraft alongside this mod.)
How to configure
Open Mod Menu → HAUNT
Set spawn frequency, distance, and caps.
Pick where hauntings are allowed using the Biome selector (Allow list / Block list / All).
You can also choose what loot table ghost dog chests use.
Tips
Ghost players are easiest to catch in your peripheral vision.
Ghost dogs won’t always appear, but when they do, follow them.
Compatibility
Works with shaders; ghosts use subtle glow/aura so they read well in dark scenes.
Designed to behave on servers; settings are straightforward for pack authors and SMPs.
FAQ
Does this add new items or blocks?
No—just behaviors and sightings.
Will this ruin my performance?
It’s tuned to be light. If you’re on a huge modpack, lower the frequency in settings.
Can I turn off dogs or players separately?
Yes—use the toggles/presets in the config.
Future Updates?
More emotes planned to be added, and more small ghosts to add to the atmosphere (floating torch that will follow you in caves with dynamic lights, ghost creeper with stealth ai, more mod integration, ect.)
