You hear something outside. Then the knocking starts.

Haunted Puppet introduces the Haunted Marionette—a horror creature that can crawl through tight spaces, climb after you when you pillar up, and break through closed wooden doors. It runs slightly faster than a sprint-jumping player, so surviving takes more than speed.

Natural encounters have an equal chance of becoming one of two chase modes:

  • Hunter Chase: The marionette appears 50 blocks away. Blindness closes in, a red flashing RUN warning appears, and a live counter shows its actual distance from you. Survive for one minute and it disappears, leaving the message: “You survived this time.”

  • Dweller Chase: A direct pursuit lasting 45–60 seconds, accompanied by a creepy version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Each mode has its own chase music. Between encounters, occasional unsettling sounds, creepy signs, and rare chat messages build tension. Ambient sounds are spaced 15–20 minutes apart and never repeat back to back.

Custom animations bring its movement, attacks, and final moments to life. Kill it, and it falls onto its back, twitches violently, then disappears.
