About

Description

Heaven's Deus expands on the base game of Minecraft with an overhauled fantasy experience.

Celesteus, a divine land now rampant with the scourge of corruption. The remnant power which once overran and created what today is the End and Nether, now seeks to plunge everything into chaos.

After ridding the End of the Corrupted Dragon and proving yourself worthy to the Gods of Celesteus, you will be invited to the divine land as a hero and eventually as a saviour.

Features (Spoilers)

Dimension

  • The new dimension Celesteus is where the gameplay starts
  • A new stronghold will open after defeating the Ender Dragon
  • By using the portal in the stronghold you will be transported to Celesteus

Blocks and Items

  • Heaven's Deus adds new blocks including new stone variants and wood types
  • There are also 4 (+1(+2)) new ores which spawn within Celesteus serving as a prolonged gear route
  • New blocks, armour, and tools go along with these ores
  • There are also legendary and mythical weapons to be discovered with powers far beyond

Mana

  • There is a mana and magic system in Heaven's Deus
  • Using the various items within Celesteus you can enhance and advance your mana
  • A mana core is formed and rings allow for higher tiered spells to be cast
  • Magic spells are cast through items, ie each spell has its own item
  • Mana and magic items can be accessed through the Sorcery Villager

Magic

  • Rune stones can be found around Celesteus
  • These can be fused and crafted with spell scrolls and ore nuggets
  • These various combinations result in different spells allowing a multitude of variety
  • Each higher tier ore nugget unlocks an extra rune stone slot to fuse into your spell
  • Spell cooldowns depend on the users mana ring, each ring reducing cooldown by 10%
  • Mana can be permanently increased by the player through items and events

Weapons

  • Swords and other weapons can be found outside of the new ore tiers
  • Magical weapons can be found with abilities attached to them
  • Other legendary and mythical weapons and armaments are present within Celesteus
  • Trading for items and weapons can be done through the Guild Villager

Guild

  • A new set of villagers will spawn within
  • Guild structures Multiple professions allow for trading Celesteus' goods
  • This allows players to obtain items and unobtainable weapons
  • This is also a conduit for the Celesteus currency, coins

Mobs

  • Temulons - divine jellyfish which swim through the skies
  • Ramoria - celestial ram/sheep which liven the world
  • Chompers - fantastical creatures who dig up rune stones
  • Gonks - weird magical creatures of myth and legend
  • Goblins - small frightened monsters who travel in groups
  • Hobgoblins - larger variants of goblin with higher strength and aggression
    • Elves - tall and slender monsters ravaged by the corruption
    • Trolls - huge monsters with massive strength and aggression
    • Ogres - rare behemoths with catastrophic damage
    • Giants - intelligent creatures who are friendly to the player

Bosses

  • Ia, the Celesteus Guardian
  • Nazoroth, Keeper of Eternity
  • Diablos, Specter of the Void
  • Kharvex, the Flesh Tyrant
  • Nyxor, the Corrupted King

Overall Heaven's Deus aims to prolong the Minecraft progression past the endgame. Changing the endgame but still keeping it separate from the base game to not conflict with it. The Mod requires any player to have beaten the Ender Dragon before entering Celesteus, switch the gamerule:worthyCandidateOverride to True to disable this requirement. Mana potential/talent is also assigned values based on a bell curve, switch the gamerule:manaTalents to False to assign all players the maximum values. This does not affect general gameplay or give max mana from the start. This is all up to player discretion but is designed to be left as they are set by default.

Update Roadmap

  • Release 1.0 - current state of release
  • Release 1.0-1.5 - small additions, bug fixes
  • Release 1.5 - completed and enhanced spell system, improved visuals and mechanics, bug fixes and optimisation complete
  • Release 2.0 - added final boss stage previous progression, guild multi-dimensional layered dungeons with time trial mechanics
  • Release 3.0 - overworld, nether and end additions based on feedback
