Welcome to Helpful Recipes! A mod that is certainly much MUCH more than just helpful recipes.

We have a whole new progression tree to reach the nether, you need a seperate mod for it to function, but otherwise its fun to make the blocks attatched to it!

This mod contains:

• a fun way to make stuff like Emeralds, Amethyst, Diamonds, and other gems
• a few new blocks
• full JEI compatability
• a whole progression tree
• a secret helmet cosmetic of MY skin!
• and a few extra things!

TUTORIAL FOR THE ALTERNATE NETHER TREE:

you MUST have Nether Portal Configurator installed, this mod lets you choose a new item to be the nether portal igniter.

Step 1: Install Nether Portal Configurator

Step 2: Open your pack folder.

Step 3: Open ~/Config/netherportalconfigurator-common.toml.

Step 4: Set "requireditemid" to helpful_recipes:holomite_sparker.

Step 5: grind your ahh off to actually get it.

Helpful Recipes started out as a simple mod to be able to craft the saddle and turn rotten flesh into leather (functionalities which are STILL IN THE MOD!) for an old project a friend and I were doing, but it has grown into much MUCH more!

Helpful Recipes includes a whole new progression tree just for reaching the nether(still in development,) which includes:

• Crystal Bases to make things like Amethyst, Diamonds, Emeralds, and Holomite, a new mineral.
• Machines such as the Crystalline Coagulator, Atomic Heater, and Plasmatic Heater.
• A whole new weapon called the Railgun, which carves massive trenches in the earth with an hour long cooldown for balancing.
• A structure which generates under the sea.
• The Stick of Truth which tells you if any given block is infested or not.

I have been developing this mod as a sort of continuing passion project, and will continue doing so. Feel free to leave suggestions in the Discord!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

It's pretty simple, just load this into whatever modpack you desire and make sure to include No Nether Portal! -# a massive part of this mod's new progression tree is literally just to make it harder to reach the nether so please dont forget that part.
