Description

Overview

While there's certainly more in store for Mooblooms on Team Abnormals's end, this add-on is a bit of a band-aid fix that makes mooblooms less of a danger to themselves, and more of a utility to players. This mod enables greater control over the AoE in which Mooblooms can grant the Sunny effect, as well as various tweaks related to said status effect.

Secret Advancement

They say there is much wisdom to be gained from the Sun herself...gaze upon her visage at a specific hour through a Spyglass and bear witness to incredible knowledge...?

Config

Sunny Behaviors

  • Mooblooms have the option to be fed items in the high_noon:sun_feed tag in order to grant Sunny in a radius. This tag includes sunflowers (vanilla or from the mod Spawn) by default. The duration for which this lasts is also configurable.
  • Mobs in the buzzier_bees:moobloom_hostiles tag will only retaliate when burned by the Sunny effect, instead of attacking Mooblooms by default.
  • Mobs dependent on an in-game "magic light value", such as Endermen (teleporting more frequently) and Spiders (neutral behavior) will behave as if in the sun when Sunny is active.
  • Phantoms still attack players with the Sunny effect (although they still burn when afflicted by said effect).
  • Bees afflicted by Sunny can behave as if it were daytime, 24/7.
  • Mobs afflicted by Sunny passively emit buttercup particles to serve as an indicator.

Effect Radius

  • The radius for which Mooblooms grant Sunny (whether as a baby or as an adult, as well as whether the radius is dependent on being fed sun_feed) can be configured.

Eternal Youth

  • Items in the tags high_noon:youth_extender/high_noon:youth_resumer behave like 26.1's Golden Dandelions. This only applies to buttercups by default.
  • During worldgen, Mooblooms spawn as babies with their aging paused by default.
  • Players can configure whether using a youth extender/resumer plays an eating sound, as well as whether the stack size shrinks (using up the item).

Compat

  • Iguanas and Sunfish from Spawn afflicted by Sunny can bask 24/7.
  • Living entities standing on a sunstone block incur the Sunny effect.
  • Sunflowers from Spawn (very slowly) follow nearby Mooblooms with an active Sunny radius.
  • Eyeblossoms from Vanilla Backport shut when nearby Mooblooms with an active Sunny radius.

Requires Buzzier Bees and Blueprint.

Note: this mod is not affiliated with the original Abnormals team. Any questions regarding this mod should be directed to my issue tracker, not theirs. Feel free to direct any suggestions (compat or otherwise) towards the tracker as well. (Whether I'll do something about ambersol and the Umvuthana remains to be seen...)
