Hollow Session — horror ARG mod (NeoForge 1.21.1)
This is not a monster mod: it’s a mod that makes the player feel that something is wrong with the game itself.
It lasts about 40 minutes of ACTIVE gameplay (the timer only runs while the world is active) and ends in a climax.
Timeline (SCALE in Timeline.java changes everything: 1.5 = 60 min)
Phase 1, 0–9 min: cave sound, footsteps behind, door, "<you> entered/left the game."
Phase 2, 9–18 min: animals stare at the player, 1st whisper with the OS username,
anomaly at 12:00, false death message, darkness pulse.
Phase 3, 18–30 min: anomaly reappears, "torn page" in inventory, sign with the player’s name,
camera turns 180°, false message written by the player, exit button changes to "Save and exit?".
Phase 4, 30–40 min: Warden's heartbeats increasing, more direct messages, "Killed <you>",
exit button changes to "No.", more frequent anomalies.
Climax, 40:00: Blindness 255 + Slowness 255 infinitely, final message in red.
When the player manually exits to the menu, the title screen goes black and has no buttons.
There is an anomaly watching you...
Testing (cheats need to be enabled)

HOW TO UNDO THE "TITLE SCREEN PERMANENTLY BLACKED OUT"
Close the game (X on the window or ALT+F4) and delete the `.opt_state_cache` file in the Minecraft folder
(or remove the mod). Everything returns to normal.
Notes:
There is a dark "flicker" of about 0.15 seconds when the anomaly disappears; delete the RenderGuiEvent in ClientEvents
This mod have some flashing light effects, so be careful.
Messages are in en_us.json and pt_br.json (the game chooses by language); feel free to edit.
Designed for singleplayer: the client reads the same static state as the integrated server.
