HotbarSlotPresets

HotbarSlotPresets is a client-side Fabric mod that works as a fallback for PvP players who used multi-keybind setups but found out those are not allowed on many servers.

Instead of multi-keybind behavior, this mod gives you a simple shortcut: pick one hotbar slot and switch between two different keys for that same slot.

Why this mod exists

A lot of PvP players have a hotbar keybind layout they're really comfortable with — but depending on the gamemode, one specific slot ends up needing a completely different key to be efficient. Things like attribute swaps, shield slots, or specific tool slots can feel way better on a side mouse button or an alternate key depending on how you play. The problem is, rebuilding your whole keybind setup every time you switch gamemode is annoying. This mod lets you keep your main layout and just swap the key for one slot whenever you need to.

How it works

1. Choose one slot (1 to 9)
2. Set two keys for that slot — Key A and Key B
3. Use the pause menu button to toggle between A and B
4. The slot stays the same — only the key changes
