Hub of Dimensions
A Fabric mod where two teams — Red and Blue — throw small squads at each other. Not a game mode. Not a progression system. Just a way to stage a fight on your own map.
How it works
There's a Bugle. Right-click it to flip between two global states:
Preparation — every unit stands still. No movement, no turning, no attacks. Time to place spawn eggs and set up positions.
Battle — everything kicks off at once. Units pick targets, bards run, kamikazes sprint at the nearest enemy, and it turns into a mess.
A bossbar at the top shows which mode is active.
Teams and points
Join a side with /hofd team set red or blue. Unit Points are shared per team, not per player. Place a unit, points get spent. It dies, points come back. The default cap is standard, operators can change it with /hofd points set.
Points show up in the actionbar. They sync live between everyone on the same team. They stick around between sessions — a file sits next to the world save.
Units
Each one does its own thing.
Knight — basic melee guy. Iron sword, average stats, nothing fancy.
Archer — stands in place and shoots. Won't chase targets, but if the enemy is behind a wall, it walks around it. Closer than eight blocks, it runs.
Bard — doesn't fight. At all. Pulls enemy attention and takes off. Every enemy unit drops what it's doing and goes after it.
Thief — spawns with empty hands, steals weapons on hit. Grabs a bow, shoots. Grabs TNT, throws it.
Kamikaze — two TNT blocks, sprints at the closest enemy, detonates. Doesn't break terrain.
Shard — splits into two smaller copies when hit hard. Those split too. Up to three generations.
Resonator — a big shield. Soaks up a portion of ally damage, stores it, then releases a sonic boom.
Martyr — six HP, buffs nearby allies with speed, strength and regen when it dies.
Juggler — lobs TNT from range. Arcs are calculated so the explosives land on the target, not past it.
Magnet — yanks every nearby enemy above its head, freezes them, dies three seconds later.
Chain — useless on its own. Two or more form a beam between them. Enemies touching the beam take damage.
More coming. The list isn't final.
Other stuff
- Friendly fire is off. Same team can't hurt each other, arrows pass through.
- Units never attack players. You can hit them with a stick, they won't hit back.
- They won't jump off towers to reach a target below. Self-preservation.
- Players can't hand items to units. Equipment is locked at spawn.
- Dye heals. Right-click with the right color to restore some HP.
- The Scroll opens the unit cost screen. Same thing via /hofd info.
Commands
/hofd info — opens the menu
/hofd team set red or blue — joins a team
/hofd team remove — leaves
/hofd points set <number> — changes the max cap (operator only)
/hofd kill <category> — removes units by type (operator only)
Crafting
Spawn eggs are made in a 3x3 grid. A Life Core of the matching color in the center, dye around it, thematic ingredients on the sides. The core itself is just slime plus dye.
The Bugle and Scroll have recipes too. Everything's craftable in survival.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.21.8, Fabric Loader, Fabric API. Nothing else.
Status
Still being worked on. Found a bug or have a unit idea, drop a comment. I read everything.
