Tame three super-powered companions who only want tall, rich players. Start at 5'4", drink milk to grow to 6'4", and pay 10 diamonds + 10 gold to win them over. They one-shot mobs, cook your food, and leave if you ignore them.

About

Description

Hypergamy Companions is a joke mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge 47+). It’s fully standalone and works in existing worlds.

Height
Every player starts at 5'4". Each bucket of milk adds 1 inch, up to 6'4". Your height and rank are shown in your inventory:

  • Short King (Rejected)
  • Average
  • CHAD

Height Boosters are craftable boots that count as 6'0" while worn. Height is a stat only, so your character doesn’t physically grow.

How They React to You

  • Under 5'10": They run away saying “ew ew ew ew” or “squish it.”
  • 5'10" to 6'3": They ignore you, but you can tame them.
  • 6'4": They walk up to you with hearts.

Taming
Right-click a companion to open a trade screen. Taming costs 10 Diamonds + 10 Gold Ingots.

The Companions

  • Brawler: Highest damage (30 per hit), 60 HP
  • Speedster: Fastest, teleports to you from 12 blocks away, 60 HP
  • Tank: 90 HP and heavy armor

They spawn rarely, alone, in any overworld biome (mostly in newly explored land). Spawn eggs are in the Hypergamy Companions creative tab.

Once Tamed

  • Combat: Attacks whatever you hit, whatever hits you, or whatever hits her. One-shots most basic mobs.
  • Following: Follows you and teleports to you when far away. Sneak + right-click with an empty hand to toggle sit/follow.
  • Menu: Rename her (the name shows above her head), use her 27-slot inventory, and view her mood and health.
  • Cooking: Raw food in her inventory gets taken to the nearest furnace or smoker, cooked, and returned to you.
  • Carrying: Press H (rebindable) to pick her up, and press it again to set her down where you’re looking.
  • Sleeping: When you sleep in a bed, she lies down with you like a cat.

Mood
Her mood drops 1 point per minute. Compliments, Gold and Diamonds raise it, and 5 Emeralds heals her.

  • Below 30: She complains and might leave.
  • At 0: She always leaves.

When she leaves, she says “Im done with you,” drops her items, runs off and disappears for good.

Two companions with the same owner will fight. The loser leaves and the winner stays.
