Description

Ignore That

A Minecraft Fabric mod (v1.0.0) for 1.21.11+ that adds client-side adaptive performance controls and a stats HUD overlay you can toggle with a keybind.

What this mod does

  • Dynamically raises and lowers your render distance and simulation distance based on real FPS.

  • Adds a toggleable HUD overlay that shows live FPS, ping, GPU name, and CPU load And it is toggled by pressing F8/F7 and you can Alway's change the keybind to what ever you want!.

  • Lets you turn the adaptive performance system on and off with a keybind.

How it works

It watches your FPS on a set tick interval and nudges renderDistance / simulationDistance toward a target FPS, using clamped min/max bounds so it never drops to zero or cranks past your configured maximum. A separate class renders the HUD text using the Fabric HUD render callback and reads GPU/CPU info from the system and Minecraft's own subsystems.

Keybinds

The mod registers two keybinds under the "Ignore That" category, both unbound by default (set them in Options > Controls > Ignore That):

  • Toggle Ignore That HUD — shows/hides the on-screen overlay.

  • Toggle Ignore That auto performance — enables/disables the adaptive FPS adjustment.

HUD contents

When visible, the overlay shows:

  • FPS — current frames per second.

  • PING — current server ping.

  • GPU — your detected GPU name.

  • CPU — current CPU load.

Example questions and answers

  • "What does this mod do?" — It auto-adjusts your render and simulation distance to hit a target FPS, and adds a toggleable HUD showing FPS, ping, GPU, and CPU load.

  • "How do I open the HUD?" — Bind a key to "Toggle Ignore That HUD" in Controls (it's unbound by default), then press it in-game.

  • "What's the keybind to toggle the auto performance?" — "Toggle Ignore That auto performance", also unbound by default in Controls.

  • "Is it client-side only?" — Yes, environment: client, so it's safe on servers that don't have it installed.

  • "Does it send data anywhere?" — No; there are no network or exec calls in the classes.

Compatibility Minecraft ~1.21.11, Java 21+, Fabric Loader 0.19.3+, Fabric API.

Client-only.
