Description
Fixes for Immersive Engineering bugs that have been open for a long time, including item dupes, in one addon you can add to a pack and forget about. Every fix has its own switch.
Unofficial. Not made by or affiliated with BluSunrize or the Immersive Engineering team. This is an addon, which Immersive Engineering's licence allows. Please report bugs here, not on Immersive Engineering's tracker.
Fixes
Engineer's Workbench dupe (#6393)
Shift-click a stack into a workbench that has room for only part of it, and the part that didn't fit is dropped on the ground while also staying in your inventory. A hopper or another player can pick up the copy. The drop is meant for blueprint results that don't fit in your inventory, but it happened for every slot. Now only blueprint results are dropped.
Switch: workbenchNoQuickMoveDupe
Toolbox loses items on shift-click (#6177)
Hold a toolbox, open it, and shift-click items onto a stack that's already in it: the items leave your inventory but never arrive. With bigger amounts some get duplicated instead. A toolbox placed in the world is fine.
Shift-clicking normally adds items by growing the stack in the slot directly. A held toolbox's slots only hand out copies of what's stored in the item, so the toolbox never sees the growth. Now items go in through the slot itself, which writes them back to the toolbox.
Switch: toolboxNoShiftClickLoss
Liquid concrete never sets (#6201)
Pour two buckets of liquid concrete next to each other and everything around them sets, except the two sources, which stay liquid forever. A source waits until no liquid concrete is next to it, so its flow sets first, and two sources end up waiting for each other. Now only flowing concrete holds a source back.
Switch: concreteSourcesSet
Config
config/ie_fix_pack.properties has a switch for each fix. Fixes without a passing test start switched off and say so.
If an Immersive Engineering update changes the code a fix hooks into, that fix switches itself off and the rest keep working. It never stops your game from loading.
FAQ
Client or server? The server needs it (or your game, in singleplayer). Players don't need it to join.
Does it need anything else? Immersive Engineering 12.4 for Minecraft 1.21.1, on NeoForge.
How is it tested? Every fix has a game test, and a control that runs the same setup with the fix switched off and has to show the bug.
- Workbench: as in the bug report, a workbench full of shovels with one stack of 63 diamonds, and a stack of 64 diamonds shift-clicked in. The control ends up with 63 extra diamonds on the ground; with the fix there are exactly 127.
- Concrete: two liquid concrete sources in a trough, almost dry. The control leaves both liquid; with the fix both set.
- Toolbox: a held toolbox with 32 oak logs, and one more log shift-clicked in. The control ends up with 32; with the fix there are 33.
Can I use it in my modpack? Yes, go ahead, no need to ask.
