Better Stone Age
The concept of this mod was to improve the stone tier of weapons, tools, and armor. Since the early/early-mid game of any new minecraft world is often the least interesting and just a rush to get iron. I thought it would be fun to spice up this area of the game.
The name of the mod is inspired by the achievement you get for getting cobblestone, "Stone Age".
The main things I've added were a few new weapons for the stone tier like the slingshot and spear. As well as stone tool variants for other stone blocks like sandstone, moss, deepslate, and blackstone. I also added cave paintings and fossils that can spawn throughout the underground of the world like ores. Cave paintings are mostly aesthetic and only drop dyes. While fossils can drop bones, skulls, and ever treasure like the nautilus shell.
And I also added one new mob to fit the "stone age" theme: The sabertooth ocelot. Its design is based on the "Regal Tiger" from Minecraft legends. The Regal Tiger is apparently the fastest mount in that game. So to honor that I made it possible to ride the little guy. It also drops fur and saber teeth as loot which can make a helmet. The helmet is similar to the turtle helmet, but instead of water breathing it gives you night vision while equipped.
