Description

InkScale is a Forge 1.20.1 boss mod centered around a single custom enemy: Lang Li Xuan Tiao.

This boss uses custom animated models, textures, and music, and fights through a distinctive burrow-and-shift mechanic. In combat, Lang Li Xuan Tiao alternates between surface attacks and underground movement, hiding inside moving ground sigils before reappearing to strike. It targets players first, attacks other nearby living creatures, and can rapidly reposition across nearby tiles to pressure its target.

The mod also includes:

  • A custom summon item for spawning Lang Li Xuan Tiao
  • A special Book Knife interaction system tied to its ground sigils
  • A try920 empowered mode with major stat boosts and altered counterplay
  • A custom battle theme that plays while the boss is active in Survival mode
  • GeckoLib-based animation support and custom boss tagging through forge:bosses

Built for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 (47.4.0), the mod is designed as a focused boss encounter project with custom visuals, behavior, and mechanics rather than a large content pack.
