About

Description

This mod tweaks a couple of things I find quite annoying in Farmer's Delight.

  • Knives now have tiers that affect rice yield.
  • The fortune enchantment works on knives.
  • Higher-tier and enchanted knives produce more rice.

Things that aren't in this mod.

  • No new items.
  • No new blocks.
  • No new Mobs.
  • No new crops.

Mods, this works with. (From What I Know):

This Mod Was Made For Insanity and His Fried Rice Business!

How to Cook Fried Rice:

How to make Fried Rice: Start with rice that's already been cooked and had time to cool down. Fresh rice is too soft and will turn into mush, so day-old rice is the move. If it's been sitting in the fridge, break it apart with your hands or a fork so there aren't any stubborn clumps. Heat a pan or wok over medium-high heat and add oil, enough to coat the surface, not drown it.

Once the oil is hot, add your aromatics first: Garlic, onion, maybe green onions if you're feeling correct about life. Let them sizzle just until fragrant, not burned, because burnt garlic ruins everything immediately. Push everything to the side and crack in eggs. Scramble them directly in the pan, let them set, then mix them in with the rest. Add your protein next if you're using any. (Chicken, shrimp, tofu, whatever you've got, and cook it through before moving on. Now add the rice. Spread it out, let it sit, don't touch it for a second. That's how you get texture.

Once it starts to crisp a bit, stir and keep tossing so it heats evenly. Season with soy sauce, maybe a little sesame oil, salt and pepper. Taste it. Adjust. Add vegetables if you want (peas, carrots, leftovers from the fridge that are about to expire) Keep stirring until everything is hot, evenly mixed, and smells like you made a 5 star dinner/lunch. Finally finish with green onions on top. Server hot.
