About

Description

Picture this, you just start a new mod pack and are enjoying yourself when all of a sudden, you realize you ran out of hunger and can't run anymore. You find a dozen cool mobs but... none of them drop any meat or anything that can help you here. Forcing you to desperately jump around and try to find any other way to get a quick bite to eat. If you've been in this situation this is the mod for you!

Insatiable is a mod for Forge 1.16.5/1.18.1 that allows most non-arthropod animals in-game to drop a generic piece of "Game Meat". Making one generic meat helps cut down on inventory clutter while also letting the player get their needed nutrition! This mod is designed to make food collection not as tedious while you're out and about, especially when combined with other mods. Be careful! Eating raw game meat is not good for you and will result in a very brief period of mining fatigue. To keep farm animals still more relevant than this new hunting method, game meat is not quite as satisfying as steak or pork. It's closer to rabbit or fish in terms of hunger and saturation. However, if you have some leftover wheat and carrots, you can combine them and a cooked piece of game to get a delicious meat pie! This is a supersaturating food and maybe a great meal to have over a long journey or to use with your spare findings out exploring. In addition, raw/cooked chicken has been renamed to raw/cooked fowl and will be dropped by all birds! (Mod Resources has to be above the Minecraft resource pack for this to properly work)

Includes compatibility with Quark, Alex's Mobs, and Neapolitan!

Additions:
- Raw/Cooked Game Meat - Dropped by most other animals

- Meat Pies - Craftable using wheat, cooked game meat, and a veggie, it's super satisfying and quite nourishing

- Raw/Cooked Light Meat (1.18.1+ ONLY) - Drops from aquatic mobs, amphibians, and reptiles

- Strange Meat (1.18.1+ ONLY) - Dropped from animals you shouldn't eat as well as humanoids/strange creatures.

- Bug Guts (1.18.1+ ONLY) - Dropped from all bugs/arachnids in-game

- Spider Cookie (1.18.1+ ONLY) - Crafted using bug guts, cookie ingredients, and some spider eyes, this cookie is pretty terrible to eat during the day, but will get immensely better if eaten at night where it will prove even better than a steak!

- Bug Stew (1.18.1+ ONLY) - Crafted with dirt, bug guts, strange meat and a bowl... this interesting conncotion is better at filling you but may give you a bad potion effect for a long period of time but much better odds than eating the strange meat by itself.

If you would like additional mod compatibility for Alex's Mobs and UAM, then download the data pack below and drag it into the data pack folder in the intended world folder.
Keep in mind that due to a small bug, UAM's whales or iguanas will not currently drop meat but all other non-arthropod animals that drop no other type of meat will. Like the vanilla version, all meat drops are based on the size of the mob/usability of the meat.

THIS IS ONLY REQUIRED FOR 1.16.5 VERSIONS OF THE MOD! 1.18.1+ WILL AUTOMATICALLY HAVE IT INTEGRATED.
