Huge thanks for texture updating to https://boosty.to/fanstone
Chronomancy is an addon for Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks that adds a new school of magic: time. Freeze an enemy mid-swing, rewind your own wounds, step out of the timeline and, at the top of the school, stop the whole world.
Requires: Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.238 or newer · Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks 3.16.3 or newer (with its own dependencies) · Curios API. Optional: JEI. Every spell and every key item has an info page there.
Twelve spells of time
Chronomancy is a full school with its own spell power and resistance attributes, a focus item and scrolls from Common to Legendary. Scrolls are inscribed at the Scroll Forge with a Grain of Time as the focus, or bought from the Clocksmith.
The spells are built to be combined:
- Stasis sets up the kill. The Clock Hand deals triple damage to targets in Stasis or stopped time.
- Field + Zone = Paradox. If a Time Dilation Field and an Accelerated Zone touch, both collapse into a blast of time that spares no one, you included.
- Needles stack. Every Time-Piercing Needle multiplies your charge on a target by 1.45, and twice as fast on targets under Paradox or inside an Accelerated Zone.
- Your double fights with you. Chrono Double repeats melee hits, arrows and spells, including spells of other schools.
The Rift Trial
The World Stop halts time for six seconds. Wear the Rift Heart while casting it and the stopped world tears open: time will not move on until you clear every wave.
- Waves. Three by default; wave N opens N rifts. Chronomalies and phasing zombies, skeletons and creepers step out of them.
- No free healing. While time stands still, health and mana do not recover on their own. Every 30 seconds an Island of Time opens nearby, and inside it they flow again.
- The Rift Maker. After the last wave the boss falls out of the rift. Time stays stopped until it falls.

Creatures

Phasing zombies, skeletons and creepers also come out of the rifts: they slip half out of time, and while they do, projectiles pass through them.
Gear and trinkets

Rings, charms and belts go into Curios slots. The Clocksmith armor is a four-piece mage set, and its chestplate can hold a spell.

Getting started
- Find a Grain of Time. Drop an anvil on a clock, let lightning strike a dropped clock, brush suspicious sand in desert pyramids, desert wells and trail ruins, or take one from a Chronomaly.
- Find a clock tower. Towers stand in plains, forests, taiga, savanna, meadows, cherry groves and windswept hills. The Clocksmith who lives there values Grains of Time above emeralds.
- Craft the basics. The Time Rune (eight Grains of Time around a Blank Rune) is the heart of the recipes: the Timeless Book, the Clock Hand, the Clocksmith armor and most trinkets need one.
- Take the trial. Get a Ring of Rifts from the Clocksmith, forge it with pyrium ingots into a Rift Heart, learn The World Stop and cast it.
Configuration
Balance lives in config/chronomancy-server.toml: number of waves, mobs per rift, the boss switch, how often Islands of Time open, needle damage, stasis fatigue and more. Cooldowns, mana costs and spell power follow the per-spell config of Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks.
Good to know
- Multiplayer is supported: stasis, time fields, the world stop and the trial are synced to all players.
- Languages: English and Russian.
- Time effects use the mod's own shaders. If you play with a shader pack and something looks wrong, please report it.
