Description
Item Collector
Turns your entire modpack into one giant scavenger hunt — automatically. Item Collector auto-generates a collection quest for every obtainable item from every mod you have installed. No config lists, no manual IDs, no maintenance. Install it alongside 5 mods or 150 — it just works.
Whatever's in your pack, it's in your book
On world load, Item Collector reads the item registry and builds a quest for every obtainable item, grouped by the mod that added it. Add a mod, its items show up. Remove one, they're gone. You never touch a config to keep it in sync.
The Collection Book
Press B (rebindable) or type /collection to open a clean menu built for big modpacks:
- A searchable list of every mod, each with a live progress bar and "collected / total" count
- Click into a mod to see its full item grid — collected items glow with a green highlight, missing ones stay dimmed
- Hover any item for its name, how to obtain it, and whether you've got it yet
- Scales cleanly to hundreds of mods without cluttering the vanilla advancements screen
Smart about what counts
- Normal items complete the moment they enter your inventory — pick up, craft, trade, whatever
- Unbreakable blocks (bedrock, barriers, end portal frames, modded indestructibles) are collected by looking at them — hold your crosshair on the block for 3 seconds through a spyglass or while crouching
- Creative-only items (command blocks, spawn eggs, debug tools — anything hidden from the survival creative tabs) are excluded automatically, so your book only tracks things you can actually get
Full control when you want it
Everything runs automatically, but config/itemcollector.json lets you fine-tune:
forceInclude/forceBlacklist— override the auto-detection for any specific item IDannounceToChat— toggle the chat message on each collection (mute the spam in big packs)stareSeconds— change how long you look at an unbreakable block to claim it
