ABOUT

The "Item Sorter" mod is a revolutionary mod inspired by "Philter" on CurseForge. The goal is simple: Ever wanted to build an item sorter in survival Minecraft, but it was either too complicated to remember or lags out your game? Fear no more, for I have the solution. Introduced are three blocks/items.

The Sorter

This block is simple. You place it under a hopper chain and it connects. If the hopper above has any of the items that pass its filters, it will pull them through. It's a single block solution to a multi-stage problem in Vanilla.

The Advanced Sorter

This block functions like the regular sorter, but with one key difference: You can place it under any block that has an inventory. There is a caveat, though. It completely ignores what slots are locked for hopper transfer. So, you will have to consider whether to use this one or go with the basic sorter in your use case.

The Filter

This item is used primarily for both sorters. With it, you can specify what types of items are pulled from hoppers or storage containers. Up to five filters can be used in each sorter and the filtering mode can be set to Additive or Subtractive. If set to Additive, any of the filters will make items pass while Subtractive will make it so that all filters have to pass.

PRESENTATION

The GIF above showcases a bunch of uses for filters and how they solve problems with item sorters.

SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! REPLACE YOUR PESKY INEFFICIENT REDSTONE BASED SORTERS TODAY!!!!!
