Result: Netherite Elytra (epic)

Smithing resets existing enchantments on the base elytra. This is by design, for balance purpose.

The elytra is incompatible with Unbreaking and Mending.

Compared to a vanilla elytra:

Design: more solid and fireproof, worse falls and a bit more gravity. A trade-off for protection and solidity.

Anvil notes

  • Items with Unbreakable cannot be combined with another elytra on the anvil (vanilla limitation and intentional).
  • Extra enchantments (like Lullaby's Flight) should be applied via enchanted books, not by merging two elytras.
